The HoBOOken 5K Race & Scary Scurry Kids’ Run - USATF Certified Course

Pier A • Hoboken

Recognized as Hoboken’s largest 5K, the 2025 race brought together more than 2,100 runners from around the world at Pier A Park. Participants enjoy a scenic 3.1-mile run along the Hoboken waterfront on an official USATF-certified course, many dressed in creative costumes. The fun continues with a spirited kids’ dash across the Pier A grass for our youngest racers.

The Homes for the Holiday Winter Auction

December 10, 2026 - 10th & Willow Bar & Grill, 7PM

A beloved holiday tradition in Hoboken, this exclusive cocktail party and auction attracts affluent supporters of the Shelter and features tricky tray baskets, a wine pull, plus a live and silent auction offering bespoke items and experiences. All proceeds benefit vital Shelter programs that provide meals, housing assistance, and support for the homeless.

This 80’s-themed dance party is an annual hometown hit in Hoboken and beyond! Celebrating the era the Shelter was founded (1982), it draws a young and young-at-heart audience for a fun evening of great entertainment and crazy costumes.
