When you get here
Volunteers must check-in at the Front Desk when you arrive to volunteer.
The Shelter entrance is down the wheelchair access ramp on 3rd Street.
Please dress casually, wear a hat, wear closed-toe shoes, & look forward to having a good time!
Who can volunteer
Adults and children can volunteer on-site at the Shelter. Children 14 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
Here are some remote ways for kids and teenagers to make a difference.
**Please note that we DO NOT host COURT-ORDERED Community Service Volunteers.
How to get here
• The Shelter is located at 300 Bloomfield St (at the corner of 3rd and Bloomfield). The entrance is down the wheelchair-accessible ramp on 3rd St.
• You must check-in at the front desk when you arrive to volunteer. Masks are mandatory for all volunteers in the Shelter at all times.
Attention Students Tracking Service Hours:
Please use our Volunteer App to:
• Schedule, register, and track your hours
• Get documentation of your hours volunteered. (Note that the Shelter will NOT provide letters.)
**Note that Court-Ordered Community Service Hours CAN NOT be performed here.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays:
All on-site volunteers MUST register and schedule shifts through our Volunteer app.
Deliveries and Drop-Offs
We are accepting deliveries at 300 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030. (Here’s a list of the items we need the most of!)
Call us at 201-656-5069 & we’ll pop outside to help with curbside drop-offs of donations at the corner of Bloomfield & 3rd Streets.
You may also opt to order items online from our Amazon Wishlist and have them shipped directly to the Shelter.
