80s Dance Party Information

About the event:
Our 80s Dance Party is held at the end of April and it is a night of revisiting and reminiscing on the BEST time for music and hair while giving back to the Hoboken Shelter!
SUMMER/FALL
Annual HoBOOken 5k Race
The planning committee typically kicks off around April or May. You are welcome to join the committee at any time!
About the event:
We host 2 races on the Saturday before Halloween: the HoBOOken 5K race, which is Hoboken’s largest race (and only costumed race!); and the Scary Scury Race, for kids of all ages.
In 2020, we held an in-person and a virtual race for the 5K and created a scavenger hunt for the kids race.
WINTER
Annual Winter Auction
The planning committee typically kicks off near the end of October. You are welcome to join the committee at any time!
About the event:
Typically, we host a cocktail party at Birch Nightclub in Hoboken in December. The event attracts 100+ people.
In 2022, this auction will be virtual!
There are a variety of ways you can help with any of these events: we need volunteers to help with securing sponsors, selling tickets, getting food/drink/supplies, seeking prizes, helping with marketing and social media outreach, general event planning, day-of-event volunteer coordinators, and other event-specific needs!
We welcome everyone at all skills levels. Whether you have a specific skill set you feel can benefit our planning, or are looking to build new skill sets, please feel free to contact us to learn more!
